Jan went above and beyond our expectations at every step of the home buying process. The education she provides to clients is top notch. She under-promises and over-delivers, which is rare in all service industries but especially real estate. Jan is classy and professional at all times, even when fiercely advocating for her clients. During our time together, we witnessed many interactions and overhead nonconfidential snippets of professional conversations. Whether with us or others, Jan was consistently authentic. I think she might say this shouldn’t be a compliment, because we should be able to expect the same from all professionals. But it’s sadly not a given in our day to day lives. We recommend Jan to anyone buying or selling a home. For veterans, there’s no question at all. Jan’s an expert in everything that goes along with VA financing. In addition to VA requirements, she also paid close attention to our family’s priorities and concerns. When we looked at houses, Jan searched basement crevices with us for mold. She pointed out possible issues we missed. When we went under contract, she helped us arrange all of the inspections we wanted and then helped us obtain estimates for repairs. This was invaluable in our negotiations and we’ve thus far avoided many surprises. Not sure how else to convey what a wonderful human and realtor Jan is! The home buying process is stressful, there’s no getting around it, but this experience was incomparable to our first. I hope Jan can be our realtor for the rest of our lives. She is delightful and we enjoyed every conversation and house hunting trip. We laughed a lot, which is important in high stress situations. And when things got bumpy with negotiations or whatnot, Jan was there for us every step of the way. She genuinely wants her clients to be happy and she can count us as another success.
